This wiki will assist you as we work our way through this week long workshop class. You can use this page to navigate to the different resources created by your fellow teachers as well as see the daily lesson plans, review what we learned, and gain access to outside support sites. The links to each day of the course are listed below along with the syllabus for this workshop. The overall goal of this workshop is to better equip science teachers with skills for using web 2.0 to improve instruction and increase student understanding of science concepts.
Objectives for the Workshop:
After completing this week long workshop science teachers will be able to:
Create effective web 2.0 tools to support the science curriculum
Develop a resource wiki which will support their curriculum and improve student learning
Embed these tools into webpages and presentations to enhance lessons and improve learning
Create collaborative materials that can be used with students or shared with other teachers
Develop web 2.0 resources that can be directly implemented in the classroom

Instructor Bio:
Hello everyone, first let me say that I am greatly looking forward to working with you throughout this workshop. As for my background, I have worked as a paraeducator in special education and ALS (academic life skills) classrooms. Additionally I have co-taught middle school science classes in both 6th and 7th grade. Currently I work in a middle school library where I assist staff and students with everything from checking out books and researching projects to trouble shooting any technology problems that arise in the building. Educationally speaking I hold a BS in Elementary Education, and am certified in Elementary, Special Education and Middle School Science, I am also 9 credits away from a Masters of Education in Instructional Technology.
